Christina will be getting her own Twitter soon!

Christina’s friend and choreographer, Jeri Slaughter, tweeted this today:

Xtina says she is going to start a twitter page soon!! Get ready!!! she’s doing better than ever and ready to take charge!!

So exciting! Now we can all stop harassing her friends and co-workers for information. :)

Christina Aguilera is coming to NBC. The five-time Grammy winner has signed on as a coach/judge on Mark Burnett’s singing competition series The Voice.

Celebrity singers fill three spots on the judging panel so far, with Xtina joining Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine. Aguilera was first reported as being in talks for the show in an EW exclusive posted last week.

“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it,” Aguilera said in a statement. “To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms. I am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to The Voice.”

Though launching any music competition series at the same time Fox’s American Idol is on the air remains perilous, the lineup gives NBC some heavy-hitting star power behind its show — and adds to Burnett’s impressive roster of reality casting coups. (Anybody who can sign Sarah Palin and Christina Aguilera for reality shows is a casting wizard.)

“When I decided to produce The Voice, I immediately knew that my first choice for a female coach had to be Christina Aguilera,” Burnett said. “Christina has a perfect voice and is an undeniable force in the music business. She is the epitome of The Voice.”

That Aguilera has been all over the news lately — and not for her singing — doesn’t exactly hurt the show’s prospects either. Aguilera’s recent detainment for public drunkenness, stumbling onstage at the Grammys, and botching the National Anthem at the Super Bowl is the kind of unpredictability that makes for must-watch reality TV (see: Paula Abdul on American Idol).

Christina Aguilera was arrested early this morning along with her boyfriend in West Hollywood, TMZ has learned. Christina was popped for public intoxication and her boyfriend was arrested for driving under the influence.

Cops say … Aguilera was a passenger in a car driven by Matthew Rutler when officers noticed he was driving erratically around 2:45 AM … so they pulled the vehicle over.

Officers determined Rutler was drunk and arrested him for misdemeanor DUI.

Cops say the deputies determined Aguilera was also “extremely intoxicated” … and since she was unable to care for herself, Aguilera was taken into custody.

Aguilera was booked for public intoxication — and according to the booking sheet, she was listed at 5’2″ and 100 lbs.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Rutler’s bail was set at $5,000.

However, the source adds, “If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.”

Sources close to Xtina tell us they have been trying to get the singer into a rehab program for weeks.

I hope that Christina is able to get through this. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for her. We all know she has a history with depression. There are better & safer ways to deal with your problems than turning to alcohol. Her #1 priority should be getting back on track for her son’s sake.

Congratulations to Christina Aguilera for being nominated in the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards for her performance in Burlesque! Christina’s reaction, as given to Celebuzz:

“I want to thank the HFPA for recognizing our song ‘Bound to You’. It is a ballad Sia and I wrote from the heart and one that I am extremely proud of. I am thrilled that our film ‘Burlesque’ was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Making this movie was a life changing experience and I couldn’t be more pleased that the Foreign Press has recognized the hard work the cast and I put into it. Now I am off to Paris with the cast to continue our international press tour.”

Alex Da Kid is on fire. After producing Eminem and Rihanna’s No. 1 smash “Love the Way You Lie” and Dr. Dre’s new Detox record with Em, “I Need a Doctor,” the London producer has another big collabo lined up.

“Castle Walls” will be the next single from T.I.’s seventh album No Mercy featuring Christina Aguilera. The hitmaker tells Rap-Up TV how he stalked Tip in L.A. to get him to do the song and how Christina came into the picture. A video was shot before the rapper returned to prison.

“It’s hip-hop, it’s electro, but I think it’s gonna lend itself to a broad audience,” he explains. “It has some kind of substance to it in the lyrics. It should work on radio and in the club, hopefully.”
