CHANNEL 9 has won the rights for a local version of the big American hit of the year, The Voice.
The big question now is about who will be involved in the show.
The show is centred around mentors and judges finding one big voice.
In the US, the big mentor is Christina Aguilera and one whisper is that producers and Nine are chasing Aguilera for the local version.

The Voice has had huge success in its first season, so it’s no surprise that NBC has picked it up for a second. And the next season will premiere in February. Not that we’re in any rush, this one hasn’t even ended yet.
And the best news is, Cee-Lo Green told Hollyscoop that all the judges will be back.
“It’s broadened my horizon, it’s been a very learning experience,’ Green told Hollyscoop. “It’s been a treat, very simply said. I’m very fortunate for the opportunity. I want to make the most of it. It seems to be going very great. People are really, really embracing the show and they’re really enjoying themselves.”
There’s no doubt about that. Ever since it’s debut, The Voice has been doing better than expected in the ratings pool. It beat out Glee on its opening night.
“We have officially been picked up for a second season,” Cee-Lo assured us.
As far as the ongoing feuding between Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine, Cee-Lo told Hollyscoop it’s all friendly.
“It’s a bit of bantering, if you will,” Cee-Lo said. “Of course there’s a bit of friendly competition. I think even with the battle rounds and last night, we all kind of get in our mind that every now and again that ok, this is serious. Other than that, we’re very comfortable with each other.”

LOS ANGELES — At home here on Saturday afternoon, Paul Telegdy, who heads up reality programming for NBC, directed his Web browser to a real-time search engine of Twitter messages and checked in on “The Voice,” the Tuesday night singing competition that is his network’s strongest new entry in several years.
There were dozens of Twitter messages each minute from viewers about “The Voice.” “Hey, what’s going on?” he wondered. Then he remembered: the E! channel, an NBC Universal sibling, was running a marathon of the season to date.
“I was sort of overwhelmed by how much interactivity there was,” Mr. Telegdy said the next day, again refreshing the search engine. (“You have to be careful you don’t check every five seconds,” he added.)
Helped along by online chitchat, cable marathons and a cast of four celebrity coaches, “The Voice” is in the midst of a crescendo, as this Tuesday’s show starts a climactic period of live broadcasts and live rejections of contestants. The show, which had its premiere at the end of April, is averaging about 12.9 million viewers, and, more important for NBC, about 7.35 million of them are between the ages of 18 to 49, making it the No. 1 new series of the television season with that group.

Christina Aguilera looked curvaceous and happy as she appeared on stage over the weekend.
The 30-year-old singer seemed delighted with her curves, showing them off in a black and white leopard print blouse, red bra, short black skirt and sky-high studded Louboutin stilettos.
The star was on stage filming a segment for American TV show Extra At The Grove, where she judged a singing contest.
Christina’s weight has fluctuated during her years in the spotlight, but it looks like she’s content with her curvier look.
The mother of one told People magazine that she puts on weight when she’s happy in love, saying: “When I first got engaged, I gained weight. We call it the ‘love chub’”.
She’s said before that she’s happy with her figure whether she’s curvy or slim, explaining: “I think that whatever size or shape body you have, it’s important to embrace it and get down!”
“The female body is something that’s so beautiful.”
“I wish women would be proud of their bodies and not dis other women for being proud of theirs!” she added.
